Removal of barriers for small business bidding for government work

The Government’s ‘Better Customer Charter’ recognises the need for Government to conduct itself as a good customer, through the values of fairness and respect, providing clear information, conducting business in line with good practice, and creating an environment of confidence and certainty for suppliers and government alike.  Recent reforms have been introduced to complement the already strong results coming from the Industry Participation Policy (IPP), and the Government has recognised the important role the Industry Participation Advocate has played in transforming many of the outcomes for small business in procurement.
