What Do We Achieve

Overseas Procurement

The Office of the Industry Advocate intends to capitalise on its knowledge of public sector procurement to investigate what opportunities might exist for locally based businesses to expand their operations overseas, particularly in work associated with World Bank and Asian Development Bank funded projects.

The intention is to capitalise on the success of South Australia’s Trade and International Engagement Strategies to increase the number and diversity of South Australian businesses winning work through Development Bank procurement projects.

The strategy is to build on existing relationships with developing countries in our region with a view to identifying opportunities where a strategic alliance between governments and industry can match and add value to the project criteria.
