Regional Development

 

The revised South Australian Industry Participation Policy recognises public spending in regional areas provides important flow-on benefits in the form of indirect economic contributions, knowledge spill-over and clustering opportunities. This can encourage regional businesses to become involved directly and indirectly in supplying to Government and to invest in improving and expanding their operations.

The intention is to develop regional forward procurement plans in conjunction with all relevant agencies, and ensure that forthcoming opportunities are communicated to regional businesses.

The Office of the Industry Advocate runs a series of Supplying to Government Workshops in the regions to assist businesses understand the process and be more successful when tendering and quoting for State Government procurement, register your interest now to attend our next available workshop.
