New face at the Office of the Industry Advocate
The Office of the Industry Advocate recently welcomed a new member of the team, Rowan Magor in the role of Business Engagement.
Rowan will work closely with government agencies and head contractors to identify ‘match fit’ local businesses for government procurement opportunities.
The State’s Industry Participation Policy requires ‘Responsible Government Agencies must seek at least 1 quote or tender from a business based in South Australia or business based in the region in the case of a regional procurement for any procurement above $33,000 to Industry Participation Policy Plan thresholds.
The South Australian Industry Participation Policy gives agencies the option of using a tailored industry participation approach which can create an incentive for businesses tendering for government work to investigate options to retain more of supply chain expenditure in the State.
Prior to joining the Office of the Industry Advocate, Rowan worked with the Partnership and Business Development team at the Department for Innovation and Skills as a Business Development Officer.
To ensure your business is not only visible to Rowan, but to all state government buyers, don’t forget to register with the SA Product and Services Register.
